He has been described as the child that Ben Folds and Norah Jones would drop, though he doesn't imagine the two will ever wind up sleeping together. His stories have been published in journals like McSweeney's and Tin House. He plays lots of instruments, and sings kinda like Rufus Wainwright, only less good.
